The  Youth Dance Festival at the University of Delaware is a vibrant, one-day celebration of dance, bringing together middle and high school students from public and private schools, private studios, and nonprofit programs across Delaware and the surrounding region. Participants engage in enriching workshops, inspiring masterclasses, and live performance. Serving up to 200 dancers, instructors, and families, the festival fosters connection, creativity, and community. It also offers the University of Delaware’s Department of Theatre & Dance a meaningful opportunity to engage with the state’s dance community as we work collectively to nurture the next generation of dancers and performers

Youth participants will take a variety of courses which may include Hip Hop, Kathak, Musical Theater, Ballet, Afro-Caribbean, Modern Dance,  Dance Composition and more!

Professional development for instructors will include technique, somatic practice,

music editing and more!
